TNG 1.3: StarbucksLove
The same day..
Masen and Matt were just hanging out and talking at the Starbucks,
"I heard there's a new girl in town." said Matt.
"Yeah, my new neighbour." Masen sighed.
"Why aren't you excited? It's a girl!"
"I don't know, I'm not used with this thing."
"No doubt. You never had a serious relationship before."
"I do! Once."
"What? You meant Chloe? That was ages ago, and a peck on the cheek doesn't count."
"Pfft when's the last time you're in a relationship?"
"Dude, I'm the ladies man remember?"
Masen laughed and took a sip of his favourite drink, Caramel Cappucino,
"So, where's Lisa?" Masen teased.
"Why the heck are you asking me?" said Matt, blushing. Lisa was their best friend and Matt's crush.
"Well, just because you've got a major crush on her since 6th grade and now we're in 9th?"
"Don't you open that topic."
"Come on, you have to confess to her eventually."
"I might. Or may not. Either one."
But before Masen could say anything, his phone rang.
"Ring.. Ring.. Ring.. Ring.."
"Hi mom."
"Masen, your dad, sisters and I are going to be late tonight, so I just want you to stop by at our neighbour before you come home."
Masen checked his watch, "But mom, it's already five. Don't you think it's kinda late?"
"I don't think so, and I promised them that you would stop by."
"Can I just go tomorrow? I'm quite tired right now."
"Since when you're into this kind of excuses? No excuses Masen, just drop by and say hi."
"Haih, okay mom. By the way, Matt's sleeping in tonight."
"If you want to order anything just take the money in the first drawer alright honey."
"It's not the first time I did that. See you tonight."
"Don't forget to stop by. You'll thank me." she giggled.
"Alright mom! Bye."
Masen hung up, he felt really irritated of the idea stopping by and welcome the new neighbour yet it's not that hard to do but he's the type of guy who don't really exposed himself.
"What's up dude?" Matt asked and took a sip of his drink.
"My mom asked us to stop by my new neighbour before we head home."
"Then we better get going now."
"Yeah, let's go."
Half an hour later..
I was curled up on the couch at the living room, watching my favourite show. Then the bell rang, I opened the door and there were two boys; one with blonde quiff hair and green eyes and the other with brown straight hair and light blue eyes. I saw that same eyes before, but I can't put my finger on it.
"Hey, I'm Masen, your neighbour and this is.." he said while starring at the floor then he looked up,
"Wow!" he whispered, I could barely hear him.
"I'm sorry?"
"He means, he's Masen and I'm Matt." Matt said and shook my hand.
"Yeah, what he says." Masen shook my hand.
"I'm Victoria. Oh well, come in."
They sat down on the couch as I slowed the volume down,
"Do you guys want anything to drink?" I asked.
"It's alright, we've just.." Matt said but before he could finish his sentence, Masen nudged him by his leg.
"Yeah, sure." Masen said and gave Matt a look.
"Excuse me." I said then disappeared to the kitchen.
"What the hell man? If I drink another cup of water, I'll be the ship sinking in the ocean!" Matt complained.
"Don't you get it bro? She's hot."
"Yeah. Lucky she's your neighbour. I think she will never like you." Matt laughed.
"Why is that?"
"Who could resist this blonde hair guy huh?"
Masen laughed, "Well, Lisa, Arista, Atina, Jessie.."
"I get your point." Matt cut him off by placing his palm on Masen's mouth.
A while later, I walked to the living room holding a tray with three glasses of orange juice. I placed each glass on the coffee table in front of each person, then I sat on the one comfy chair beside the couch. Matt reached out for his glass and drank it,
"So, what grade are you in right now?" Masen asked me.
"I'm in 9th grade."
Matt almost choked on his drink, Masen tapped his back. Then he's alright, and drank it again, slowly.
"Any idea what school are you going to?" asked Masen.
"I don't know, maybe that Winston High School I guess."
And again, Matt almost choked on his drink and he coughed. Masen tapped his back again, then he's alright. He ended up placing the glass back on the coffee table.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yeah, he's alright." said Masen.
"Wow, you guys are so..."
"Charming? Cute? Handsome?" Matt said.
"Weird." I finished the sentence.
"So we've been told." Masen chuckled.
"So, where are your family?" Matt asked, probably he'd noticed no one was there except for me.
"No idea, maybe at the car company or somewhere. What school are you in by the way?"
"The Winston High School. So we're going to the same school, I guess." said Masen as he drank his drink.
"Oh, so that's why Matt almost choked on his drink, I get it."
"Nice going Matt." Masen whispered to Matt.
"What did I do?" said Matt kinda out loud.
"Haha, yeah, you guys are completely weird."
"Well, we better go now." Masen said.
"Okay, see you guys later."
I walked them to the door and watched them walked to Masen's porch, beside mine and waved goodbye. So that was Masen Brandon, no wonder I'd saw those blue eyes before, he got his mother's eyes, and he's kinda cute.. Wait, did I just say that, no no no, this ain't gonna happen again. Shake it off and don't get distracted. I glanced at the wall clock above the television, it was 7.30 p.m, mom and the twins aren't home yet. I checked my phone and there was a message from mom,
"Vic, your sisters and I are going to be late because our car broke down. So, we are going to have dinner outside. I know you can cook, cook yourself anything in the fridge. Take care and love you."
The first thought that came up my mind was wow, you just rent that car and it broke down, how useful. Hmm, that's just great. I'm alone? In the new house? No one in the house except me? Just me? Holy crap, creepy much. I have to do something or maybe..
